Troy Breshears Obituary
Troy Lee Breshears, age 54, of Antlers, Oklahoma passed from this life February 19, 2021 in Oklahoma City. He was born June 5, 1966 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Earl Leroy and Vivian Louise (Shirley) Breshears.
During high school Troy met Teresa Lynn Derby, who he was instantly fascinated with. He was determined to catch her interest, any little thing he could do to help her, from making sure her shoes were tied to helping her with homework. Troy’s persistence paid off because August 18, 1984 they would be married. During their marriage they accomplished many things together but two of their greatest accomplishments were their kids, Kortney and Clayton.
Troy worked for the City of Antlers for over thirty years and formed many lasting friendships. Although he loved the people he worked with, nothing could compare to the love he had for his family. During his off time, he enjoyed spending his time camping at Pine Creek Lake, swimming in the pool, building different projects and tinkering with cars. His favorite thing to do though was sit out on the deck at night with his wife and watch the stars.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Breshears; grandmothers, Lydia Duncan and Otie Mae Shirley; Uncle Jake Cole and Aunt Margaret Cole.
Those left to continue his legacy include his loving wife, Teresa Breshears; Children, Kortney Helms and husband Chris and Clayton Breshears; mother, Louise (Peachy) Breshears; sister, Teresa Thomas and husband Judd. Along with many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers include: Morris Calder, Joey Eden, Albert Evans, Chad Henderson, Chris Strandridge and Craig Wilson.
Honorary Pallbearers include: Clayton Breshears, Robin Byrum, David Cole, and Chris Helms.
Officiating will be Brent Franks.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel, in Antlers, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Antlers City Cemetery.
Family night will be held from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel, in Antlers, Oklahoma.
