Verlon Rosenthal was born in Antlers, Oklahoma to Chester Carter and Flossie (Roebuck) Carter on July 28, 1935. She passed peacefully away in her hometown of Antlers on June 19, 2022. Verlon was 86 years old.
Verlon married George Thomas Rosenthal on May 23, 1953, and they enjoyed their life and family together until his passing in 1996. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband: George Thomas Rosenthal; parents: Chester and Flossie Carter; daughter: Susan Kaye Rosenthal; siblings: Wayland, Carl, Dave, Dorothy, and Elverta; and grandsons: Kaston Rosenthal and Kylan Campbell.
Verlon is survived by her son: Thomas Rosenthal and wife Glenda of Antlers, OK; brother: Harold Carter of Oregon; sister: Darlene Bidwell of Oregon; grandchildren: Laticha and Dru Polk of Smithville, OK, Johnny and Charity Rosenthal of Antlers, OK, Alesha and Chad Neal of Antlers, OK, Thomas Lloyd and Toni Rosenthal of Antlers, OK, and Brittany Campbell of Antlers, OK; 14 great grandchildren; as well as relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10AM at Rattan Cemetery with Shane Meshaya officiating.
Services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
