Warren Johnson Obituary

Warren Johnson was born March 10, 1939 in Enid OK to Frank and Ruth Buss Johnson. He passed from this life at his Antlers, Oklahoma home on March 8, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Warren grew up on the family farm near Kremlin, Oklahoma. He graduated Kremlin High School in 1959. He then went to OSU and received a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture. In 1963 he became a teacher at Covington High School making $4300 a year. He later graduated from Phillips University with a Master's Degree in Education and became Principal at Hunter High School. He was a foster parent to teenage boys. He took over the family wheat farm when his father passed, and was a 4-H Leader in Garfield Co.

After many years he found a woman that would tolerate calves in the bathroom.
He asked her to marry him indirectly by asking Jesse and Tanya if they wanted to move to the farm after he married their Mom. He married Laverda on July 20, 1979.

He was known for his generosity and willingness to help everyone. His children remember many trips to drop off food to other families.

After moving to Antlers in 1985 he was once again a 4-H Leader and became a social worker with OK Dept of Human Services.

He is preceded in death by his parents Frank Johnson and Ruth Buss Johnson and a son, Leland Frank Johnson.

He is survived by his wife Laverda Johnson of Antlers. His children Tanya Walker, Jesse and Julie Moore, LeaAnn and Jimmie Wyrick, Tamara and Damon McElroy, Joshua and Paige Johnson.
Jonathon Johnson and Jerald Johnson, Billy and Michelle Hancock, and his
