Wrightsman Thomas Obituary

Wrightsman "Rex" "WW" Thomas, 89, passed from this life on November 18, 2021, in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was born February 11th, 1932, in Corinne, Oklahoma, to Impson Mataha Thomas and Lizzie (Wilson) Thomas.

Wrightsman married Francis Tuck in Santa Clara, California in 1956, and with that marriage came a step-son, Wendall Gay. Together, Wrightsman and Francis shared one son, Gary Thomas. in 1964, he married Rosalyn Begay in Los Angeles, CA and they shared three children, Lyle Thomas, Daryl Thomas, and Lori Lynn Thomas. Wrightsman enjoyed reading his Bible and listening to gospel music. He loved his time spent visiting with his friends and family. Wrightsman was a proud Army veteran, and served during the Korean War.

Wrightsman is preceded in death by his parents: Impson and Lizzie Thomas; sons: Lyle Thomas and Daryl Thomas; and siblings: Clarence Thomas, Hazel Cora Thomas Wilson, A.J. Thomas, and Jimmy Ray Thomas.

He is survived by his children: Gary Thomas of Arizona, Wendell Gay of Texas, and Lori Lynn Thomas; siblings: Ruby Lizzie Thomas Harjo of California, Gerald Don "Chub" Thomas of McAlester, OK, McNew Islam Thomas and wife Nadine of Lane, OK, Lester Berry Thomas of Antlers, OK, and Impson Mataha Thomas, Jr.; as well as numerous grandchildren.

Services for Wrightsman will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 2PM at the Antlers First Assembly of God Church with Mike Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow at Corinne Cemetery, with honors provided by the Choctaw Nation Honor Guard.

Services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
